Bello Adogu Thomas, founder and owner of InfoMAS hails from Kogi State, Nigeria. He graduated from Federal University of Technology Minna with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Degree in Computer Science. He is currently based in Minna, Niger State, from where he runs and manages the various activities of InfoMAS. He is an experienced desktop and web applications developer, very conversant with the use of modern application development frameworks.
In 2014 the Information Management and Admin System (InfoMAS) was launched by Mr. Thomas as an initiative to assist students of the university in finding what he termed as "relevant information and help" for their academic success via a facebook page FUTMinna Informant where he frequently posted updates about various useful information about the University and happenings on the campus. Frustrated by facebook policy on size and types of file that can be uploaded, Mr. Thomas upgraded his newly found system into a web site (futmininfo) thanks to free hosting services through WAP which allow files to be uploaded for download and also provides support for creation of online forums. This hosting lasted only for just few months before the host discontinued their services. The InfoMAS futmininfo website was moved to a more reliable hosting service provider where it has been run for over 4years without any interruptions. All services provided by the InfoMAS are independent of the university owned IT service provider. Mr. Thomas believed that with the supports and cooperation of the students, the system can be sustained.
Mr. Thomas is passionate about helping students to find solution to their various academic needs without charges. In 2018, he presented a paper proposing for the Development of Pre-admission Examination Learning and Practicing Software for Prospective students of Federal University of Technology Minna with his project supervisor during the annual International Conference on Information Communication Technology and Its Application held at the Federal University of Technology Minna. The aim of the work was to develop a web based CBT system for learning and practicing of Computer Based Assessment by aspiring or prospective students of the university. The system was developed successfully and efforts are being made to see to the adoption of the system for use by the students
